Memory Verse – Micah 6:8 –   “He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what he does the Lord require (desire) of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

Midweek Message –  “What God Requires/Desires From You” – 2.4.26    (click on the link to be taken to the video)

One of the lesser-known prophets, Pastor Grant Hill bases his sermon on Micah today. God loves everyone so much & always warns before bringing judgement upon us. God is gracious & compassionate. Psalm 89:14 says “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.
We are to apply justice in every area of your life. Walk in integrity, humbly with God.

We pray that God touches your heart as you watch the video.
Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught.

Micah 6:1-8 Listen to what the Lord says: “Stand up, plead my case before the mountains; let the hills hear what you have to say.  “Hear, you mountains, the Lord’s accusation; listen, you everlasting foundations of the earth. For the Lord has a case against his people; he is lodging a charge against Israel. “My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me. I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you, also Aaron and Miriam. My people, remember what Balak king of Moab plotted and what Balaam son of Beor answered. Remember your journey from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of the Lord.” With what shall I come before the Lord and bow down before the exalted God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Shall I offer my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require (desire) of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Psalm 89:14 “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.”

Exodus 23:6 “You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute.

1 Samuel 8:3 His sons, however, did not walk in his ways, but turned aside after dishonest gain and took bribes and perverted justice.

Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Reprove the ruthless, Defend the orphan, Plead for the widow.

James 2:1-9 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you have dishonored the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are blaspheming the noble name of him to whom you belong? If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers.

We invite you to join us each Wednesday at 11:30 AM for Midweek@Minnewashta Chapel Service A PLACE TO BELONG – Favorite hymns are sung, Prayers & Praises for the people are shared, and Pastor Grant Hill delivers a short message. Communion is served the first Wednesday of each month.
