Church News: Week of December 10, 2025

Memory Verse – John 14:27 –  “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
“Jesus, the Prince of Peace” – 2nd week of Advent – in 700 BC, Isaiah (9:6) prophesied: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”.  Because of Jesus, we can have the peace the world is longing for. When we don’t have the tranquility of God, there is anxiety & stress in our lives. Peace begins when we surrender to God.
1 JESUS BRINGS PEACE WITH GOD

Romans 5:10

For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
Ephesians 2:3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.
Ephesians 2:1 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins
2 Corinthians 5:18–19 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
2 JESUS BRINGS THE PEACE OF GOD

Philippians 4:7

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
3 JESUS BRINGS PEACE WITH OTHERS

Ephesians 2:14

“For He Himself is our peace… breaking down the dividing wall of hostility.”
Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts . . .
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers”
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
