Memory Verse – 2 Corinthians 3:17 – “For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.'”
JULY 23 – MIDWEEK SERVICE WEDNESDAY – “What Happens When the Holy Spirit Enters You” – Pt 2
1. REGENERATES YOU– BORN AGAIN
2. SEALS YOU – YOU CAN FEEL SECURE IN YOUR SALVATION
3. YOU BEGIN TO GROW STRONGER AGAINST SINFUL CRAVINGS
4. YOU BEGIN TO REFLECT THE NATURE AND LIGHT OF CHRIST
Ephesians 5:8 For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light!
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
Ex 34:29,34-35 When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. But whenever he went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he would remove the veil until he came out again. Then he would give the people whatever instructions the Lord had given him, and the people of Israel would see the radiant glow of his face.
5.YOU BECOME LESS IMPACTED BY FEARFUL SITUATIONS
Mark 4:35-41 As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?” The disciples were absolutely terrified. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “Even the wind and waves obey him!”
6. YOU BEGIN TO LOVE THE UNLOVABLE – OR LOVE LIKE JESUS
Romans 5:5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Matthew 5:38-48 “You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek also. If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to borrow. “You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
John 13:34-35 Jesus told His disciples, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”

A NOTE FROM BOUNTIFUL BASKETS – We’re excited to once again take part in the Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless Summer Challenge Grant! This special grant supports food shelves across Minnesota by matching a portion of funds raised in July—up to $4,000.
Summer often brings a slowdown in donations and food drives—just as families need more support. With kids home from school, many households rely more heavily on food shelves to help fill the gap. This grant provides critical support that helps us keep up with increasing demand.
You can help us make the most of this matching opportunity. Please consider making a gift today
Your support allows us to expand our programs, increase capacity, and provide nutritious food to families in a welcoming, dignified environment.
Every dollar makes a bigger impact this month—thank you for your consideration!
