Memory Verse – 2 Peter 1:3 – “God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness.”

JULY 30 –  MIDWEEK SERVICE WEDNESDAY – “What Happens When the Holy Spirit Enters You” –  Pt 3 (full Sermon Notes are posted below for you to follow along as you watch. Sermon 7.30.25

1. REGENERATES YOU– BORN AGAIN
2. SEALS YOU – YOU CAN FEEL SECURE IN YOUR SALVATION
3. YOU BEGIN TO GROW STRONGER AGAINST SINFUL CRAVINGS
4. YOU BEGIN TO REFLECT THE NATURE AND LIGHT OF CHRIST
5.YOU BECOME LESS IMPACTED BY FEARFUL SITUATIONS

6. YOU BEGIN TO LOVE THE UNLOVABLE – OR LOVE LIKE JESUS
Romans 5:5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has
given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not
dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in
evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Matthew 5:38-48 38 “You have heard the law that says the punishment must match the injury: ‘An eye for an eye, and a
tooth for a tooth.’ But I say, do not resist an evil person! If someone slaps you on the right cheek, offer the other cheek
also. If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat, too. If a soldier demands that you
carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. Give to those who ask, and don’t turn away from those who want to
borrow.
“You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray
for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his
sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who
love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your
friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father
in heaven is perfect.
John 13:34-35 Jesus told His disciples, “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you
must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”
Acts 7:54-60 When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But
Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of
God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” At this they
covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, dragged him out of the city and began
to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their coats at the feet of a young man named Saul. While they were
stoning him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not
hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell asleep.
2 Peter 1:3 God’s divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness.

7. YOU BEGIN TO WALK IN THE SUPERNATURAL
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling
people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Mark 16:17-18 These miraculous signs will accompany (follow) those who believe: They will cast out demons in my
name, and they will speak in new tongues. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything
poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
