Memory Verse – Luke 9:25 –  “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?”

Midweek Message – 5.21.25 – “As It Was in the Days of Noah”

Pastor is preparing us to be spiritually ready and not be caught off guard. Are you denying yourself & taking up your cross, daily, to follow Jesus? Because once the door closes, there is no second chance. John 10:9 says “I am the door, if anyone enters by Me, he will be saved. Read along in Matthew 24:37-39; 2 Peter 3:9; Genesis 6:5-6; 2 Peter 2:5; 1 Thessalonians 51:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:4-9; Luke 9:23-25. .

We invite you to join us each Wednesday at 11:30 AM for Midweek@Minnewashta Chapel Service!  Favorite hymns are sung, Prayers & Praises for the people are shared, and Pastor Grant Hill delivers a short message. Communion is served the first Wednesday of each month. Lunch & Movie follows in the Fellowship Hall.

MONDAY – Memorial Day Blessings – EXCELSIOR MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & OAK HILL CEMETARY SERVICE – Remember those who have given their lives in service of ourcountry by lining Water Street to watch the parade that starts at 11:00 AM and feature a flyover (weather permitting). It begins at Excelsior Elementary, goes down Water Street, and continues to the cemetery. Walk behind the firetrucks to the cemetery, and gather on the hill for the short, moving graveside service (MHS choir, Girl and Boy Scouts, American Legion, bugle taps), and a tour of local dignitaries buried there. Let’s not forget the real reason why we celebrate Memorial Day. God bless America!

TUESDAY – Men’s Bible Study – NOON – Lunch provided.

Wednesday – Prayer Gathering 10:45-11:15 – Meet in Pastor’s office

MEAL & MOVIE –May 28– “Another Perfect Stranger” – Part 1. Ten years have passed. Nikki’s daughter Sarah, now 19 and heading West for college, is at her own spiritual crossroads. To make matters worse, her mother has recently revealed that, nearly a decade ago, she was the dinner guest of the Almighty himself. Thinking her mom is certifiably insane, Sarah strikes up an unlikely friendship with a travel companion who shares her disdain for religion.

FOOD SHELF DONATIONS – Please bring your food donations Sunday the 25th or Wednesday the 28th for the monthly collection. Items may be placed in the church office. Thank you kindly in advance for your generosity!

May Mission of the Month – Jeremy Goodell Scholarship Fund – Jeremy was such a special young man to our Minnewashta Church congregation. Jeremy’s enthusiastic and genuine love of the Lord was evident in all he did, but especially in his relationships with our youth. He served as our Youth Pastor for just a short time before he was in a tragic automobile accident and was killed on his way to Vacation Bible School on the evening of August 13, 2001.

Jeremy truly loved his job and had hope of, one day, becoming the Senior Pastor at Minnewashta. He was such a bright light in the lives of so many – we won’t ever forget him. The scholarship program is meant to serve as a special, and enduring way to honor his memory.

BENEVOLENCE FUND – The benevolence fund is used to aid families with unexpected or high medical expenses, victims of natural disasters. The unemployed, the under employed and in other similar circumstances.
MINNEWASHTA OFFERINGS – The Offering Boxes are mounted on the wall outside of the church office and the envelopes are located on the table beneath the two boxes. Alternatively, you can mail your offerings and tithes to the church: 26710 West 62nd St., Shorewood, MN 55331, Attn: Financial Secretary.

Pastor invites everyone to join the Sunday morning Bible Study series, “The Manifestation of the Holy Spirit”. Meet in the Library at 9:45 AM.

If you have an item for the announcements, please get it to the church office (via email) no later than TUESDAY morning. Thank you.
