Memory Verse – Hebrews 9:27-28 – “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment. So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.””
September 3 – MIDWEEK SERVICE WEDNESDAY – “The Promise” – (full Sermon Notes are posted below for you to follow along as you watch. Sept 3, 2025 Sermon
Hebrews 9:27 “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
Job 14:5 “Man’s days are determined; you have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed.”
Psalm 139:16 “All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
Revelation 20:11-15 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the
lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.
Romans 14:12 “So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”
1 Corinthians 3:10b-15 Each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.
Philippians 4:7-8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store forme the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
Genesis 18:25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and thewicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?”
Amos 4:12 “Prepare to meet your God.”
Hebrews 9:28 “So Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him.”
John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Acts 20:21 I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Ezekiel 18:32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”
1 Timothy 2:3-6a This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
