MISSION OF THE MONTH for April – Meals on Wheels – South Shore/Excelsior
Operating out of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, the South Shore chapter of Meals-on-Wheels, was reestablished in 2010 to provide fresh, nutritious noontime meals, delivered directly to the homes of seniors and individuals with disabilities in the Excelsior and Western Minnetonka area. In addition to regularly providing healthy foods, caring volunteers provide the social connection that helps meal recipients remain living independently in their own homes.
